La Buena Leye

"If you go to the discoteca, they will touch your butt" -Carmen

So not that much has happened since last time! Classes don't start until the 9th so we have this whole week to explore Granada and catch up on sleep (something that I have been taking full advantage of).  Carmen is getting a little bit more relaxed about stuffing us with food! She did praise Jesus and Mary today when I finished a whole bowl of lentil soup and then she put the rest of lunch on the table ugh!  She said that if I didn't eat I was going to get sick and go to the hospital and she wouldn't visit me in the hospital!  We watched one of her shows called "La Buena Leye" which is like jerry springer and judge judy combined and today there was a couple that had broken up and they were fighting over something stupid and she told me that me and Ross were going to be on that show when we get divorced and that I am going to write her and say "Carmen, you were right and I was too young to have a boyfriend".  I assured her that wouldn't happen but she insisted!!! She is insane!  Granada is starting to come more familiar to me and I can definitely see me calling it a temporary home! I love my little room and apartment! The only thing I hate is the internet situation! And I am really craving a cheeseburger... Oh well! Now I am going to go get some cafe con leche and a pastry with Ashley and Devin and then who knows!

Chau!

  3. Ryann, I am a friend of your grandparents--the ones who introduced you to Europe. I enjoy your blog so much because I am a former high school Spanish teacher who has been to Spain a couple of times. My favorite thing was the Prada, as was those of my students who were with me on the trip. You have a wonderful opportunity, which I know you are aware. I am most envious!! Vicki Sandlin
