Los Sierra Nevadas

Yesterday morning at 7 AM I unwillingly walked to the bus station to go hiking. While we walked we passed alot of people coming home from the bars and discotecas.  Spaniards party hard.  So me and 6 other friends took a bus for 1.10 euros for about twenty minutes to the base of the Sierra Nevadas.  We split up into smaller groups because some wanted to do harder trails but we all went at our own pace and it was absolutely amazing! Totally worth all the falls, bruises, and sore muscles. Five of us met up on this huge rock that looks like Pride Rock from the Lion King and ate lunch. You can see it in the very middle of the middle picture at the top!  I had my feet dangling off the edge of the cliff and Ashley was freaking out the whole time! We then went on this other trail by a river where there was a small walkway and a giant rockwall.  There were points where the rock wall took over the path and we had to crawl under it or hold onto handles while we were hanging over the river. It was intense and awesome! The beauty of God's creation was all around us and it was absolutely amazing.  The sun was out all day long which was such a relief after 3 weeks of torrential downpour.  And it is supposed to rain all this week as well so it was kind of a tease but it was much needed! Meta slipped on a rope bridge and dropped her camera in between two boulders underneath which were above a river.  She climbed down and saw it in between the boulders about to fall and she got it! That was hilarious and awesome! We had lots of funny stories and adventures! The bus we needed to get on left at 1:40 and 3 of us were at the bus stop early.  Two minutes before it left we see two others sprinting down the path to get to the bus and right as we are getting on the bus, we see the other two start sprinting! Somehow we all made it back to the city and I took a 4 hour siesta!  We are all talking about doing it again next weekend and I cannot wait! We are also going skiing next weekend! So that was my super exciting thing to share about! Hope everyone at home is doing well! Adios!
